SOAR Social Security Appointed Representatives Program

Another Life Foundation (Alifef) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization. 

Since 2004, ALIFEF has been committed to serving low- to middle-income community members across Colorado. The foundation’s programs are designed to provide critical support, enhance public awareness, and promote economic advancement and personal development for individuals affected by mental illness.

Another Life Foundation’s SOAR Social Security Appointed Representatives Program offers trained SOAR representatives to help youth and adults navigate the application process for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits.

The program serves individuals with low to no income who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, youth exiting foster care, those in domestic violence shelters, individuals who are incarcerated or recently released, and those living with mental illness, disabilities, or other co-occurring disorders.

In addition to application assistance, the program provides ongoing case management, including support with budgeting, life skills development, access to counseling and therapy, mentoring, and referrals to vital community resources.

• Our program aims to foster hope, and empowerment; and improve access to services that help stabilize living situations and enhance the quality of life of adults, youth, and special needs populations.​​

• This program aims to increase access to SSI/SSDI and Medicaid/Medicare benefits for eligible adults and children.

Our services include: 

(1) becoming your appointed representative, which enables us to act on your behalf; and

(2) starting the application process; and

(3) researching and collecting your medical evidence; and

(4) communicating with all essential agencies; and

(5) completing and submitting your application to the Social Security Administration; and

(6) lastly, as a bonus, we will file an appeal, if your application is denied.
